Reading & Thinking / Workflow Guide

Keep the Lines That Move You

What is worth keeping from reading deserves to be caught in time. Lower the barrier to excerpting, and thinking has a place to start.

01. A photo is the easiest excerpt

Meet a passage you love in a paper book? Snap a photo in ReadMory and the text is recognized into an excerpt. No pausing to transcribe—your reading rhythm stays intact, and so does the spark.

02. Give the excerpt a home

Add the book, author, and page, and a line has a way back. Later, you can return from one sentence to the book and the context where you first met it.

03. Keep thoughts beside the original

Jot down what you felt right where the excerpt lives. Years later, you will remember not only the sentence, but why it moved you then.

04. Scattered lines belong somewhere too

Not every line comes from a book. Article links, an overheard sentence—save them as free excerpts without building a source first. Keep first, categorize later.
