Execution & Review / Workflow Guide

Reviewing Isn't Grading—It's Understanding Your Own Rhythm

Completion is only the result. Keep the actual time spent and the context behind it, and every future plan gains a better basis.

01. Timing is optional

Start a timer when you begin a task if you remember; if not, simply complete it and fill in the actual start, end, and duration afterwards. FireFly-ToDo treats timing as an optional path rather than a mandatory ritual—that is the only way logging can last.

02. See plans and reality side by side

The review page lays your current schedule next to actual execution: what finished on time, what ended early, what is still running. The difference itself is information—it tells you whether your estimates are optimistic or the day was simply too packed.

03. Leave a line of "why" in the log

Numbers can tell you a task took fifty minutes, but not why. Add a note such as "gathering data took longer than expected" to the execution log, and future reviews will recall the context, not just the result.

04. Abandoning is honest logging too

When something is no longer worth continuing, mark it as abandoned instead of letting it linger on the list. A list that reflects your real choices makes reviews truthful—you see your actual rhythm, not an ideal plan you never finish.
